About the Safe Centre of Peel (ScoP)

The Safe Centre of Peel is a safe and welcoming space where many agencies work together at one location. ScoP offer support and compassionate care to adults, children and youth affected by abuse and violence in Peel. ScoP works in collaboration with 10 onsite agencies, 9 offsite partners, and a multitude of community partners serving hundreds of individuals every year.

Leading Women in the Community Award, 2018: Awarded to Sharon Mayne-Devine, Catholic Family Services Peel – Dufferin Executive Director.

Congratulations to our Executive Director, Sharon Devine on Receiving the Leading Women in the Community award presented by the Government of Ontario’s  Ministry of the Status of Women.

 Sharon’s award was received in honour of her dedication to promoting equality, inclusivity, diversity and, in acknowledgement of her continued mentorship and leadership within our community. Sharon also actively works towards preventing violence against women and girls in addition to, reducing racism and discrimination. Sharon is a positive role model who advocates for women through her work as well as her involvement in the community.
