Individual, Couple & Family Program

Through Individual, Couple or Family work, this program strives to improve relationships, reduce emotional distress and enhance personal well-being by providing assistance to the following:

Individuals experiencing loneliness, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, work concerns, bereavement and other life stressors

Couples experiencing relationship difficulties including poor communication, lack of intimacy, affairs, extended family pressures, or contemplating separation/divorce

Families coping with developmental transitions, cultural adjustment, parenting, step-family concerns, separation or divorce or other relationship concerns    Learn More

Sistering And Community Wellness Program

Sistering is a volunteer program for women who, having their own experiece of abuse or oppression, are at a stage in their healing process whereby they wish to give back by offering support to other women who are beginning their healing journey. The Sistering Program also sponsors workshops for the community on a variety of topics relevant to the promotion of wellness.

We have also integrated our Family Life Education program with Sistering and Community Wellness. We offer training and workshops in life skills, bereavement care, self-esteem, parenting, creating healthy families, spirituality and many other topics which support families in building loving relationships.   Learn More

Adults Who Have Experienced Childhood Abuse

Counselling services to adults who have experienced trauma through childhood abuse:

Support groups for women who experienced trauma: sexual, physical, emotional abuse and neglect in childhood and adolescence.

Individual counselling for women and men to explore the impacts of childhood abuse.

Couple and family work to support the healing process.    Learn More

Partner Abuse

Comprehensive services to families experiencing partner abuse:

Support groups for women who have been abused by their partners.

Individual and family counselling for women and men who have been abused by their partner.   Learn More

Partner Assault Response (PAR)

This program is designed to help men stop their abusive and controlling behaviours towards their intimate partners.

PAR is offered to men in a 16 week group program. Women who are referred to PAR are seen individually.  Learn More

Programmes d’intervention auprès des partenaires violents

Les programmes d’intervention auprès des partenaires violents (PIPV), qui font partie intégrante du Programme de tribunaux pour l'instruction des causes de violence conjugale de l’Ontario, sont des services spécialisés de counseling et d’éducation offerts par des organismes communautaires à des personnes ayant agressé leurs partenaires. Certains contrevenants reçoivent l'ordre de participer au Programme IPV du tribunal. Les programmes IPV visent à améliorer la sécurité de la victime et à encourager les contrevenants à assumer la responsabilité de leur conduite.

Le programme donne aux contrevenants la possibilité d’analyser leurs croyances et leurs attitudes à l’égard de la violence familiale, et d’apprendre des méthodes non abusives de résolution des conflits.

Pendant qu’un contrevenant participe au PIPV, le personnel offre à la victime de l’aider à planifier sa sécurité, l’oriente vers des ressources communautaires et l’informe des progrès réalisés par le contrevenant.


   Programs For Children Exposed To Woman Abuse

Catholic Family Services is the lead agency for the HEAL (Helping End Abuse for Life) Network. 

An eighteen (18) agency collaboration organized to provide services to children exposed to domestic violence :

All HEAL programs are offered free of charge, including:

A group program for mothers and their children (newborn to age 12).
