Statistics Canada’s 2016 census data showed that the municipalities of Peel (Brampton, Mississauga and Caledon) are continuing to grow. The population of Peel grew from 1.2 million in 2011 to 1.4 million people in 2016: about 6.5% growth. Dufferin County’s population grew by about 8% in the same time, to 61,735 (Statistics Canada 2016 Census Data).
Catholic Family Services Peel-Dufferin served 37,000 people in 2015/2016 through counselling programs, community outreach and education events, crisis support, information requests, and referrals.
