At CFSPD, volunteers contribute at various levels of the organization and work side by side with staff in support of the organization’s mission. Volunteer Process
At CFSPD, we aim to match people’s skills and experiences to the needs and opportunities in the organization. Screening is carried out with all potential volunteers to allow for the safest and most productive experience for clients, volunteers and staff, and to ensure legal and ethical responsibilities are understood and carried out. Selected candidates are required to submit references and agree to a criminal record check.
All volunteers are required to attend screening and orientation activities, which include:
- A formal interview
- An orientation session
- On-going training and support
- Diversity and Health and Safety Training
