Our services are available to everyone of all faiths and backgrounds.

What is counselling?
People seek counselling because they want help. We believe that counselling is a relationship in which clients and counsellors work together to develop solutions.

How much does counselling cost?
The first walk-in counselling session is free. Fees apply for ongoing counselling but can be subsidized based on household income and the number of dependents. However some of our programs and groups are offered free of charge. Please call for more information: 905-450-1608
Is counselling covered by insurance/ OHIP?
Counselling services are not covered by insurance/OHIP. However counselling fees can be subsidized based on household income and the number of dependents.
How long is the wait time?
There is no wait list to access counselling through the walk in clinic. However when you come to walk-in you may be asked to wait to see a counsellor as clients are seen on a first come first serve basis.
Booking ongoing sessions after the completion of walk in sessions may have a wait time. Please ask your counsellor or intake worker for wait time information.
Can I walk in and see a counsellor right away?
Yes. Please come in during our regular walk in times at either our Brampton or Mississauga location.
I’m interested but confused, how do I know that I picked the right program for me?
You only need to make one call to get services for yourself and your family. A caseworker will help you make the right choice. If you are interested in any of our services or if you are not sure which service you may need, please ask to speak to one of our caseworkers at: 905-450-1608 ext. 112.
Are there any forms I should fill out before coming?
If you are attending the walk-in clinic all paperwork will be filled out once you arrive. If you are starting a program such as PAR or HEAL, please speak to a worker about paperwork that you may need to bring in: 905-450-1608
Do you have interpreters?
Our counselling services are available in English, French, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Mandarin, Polish, Punjabi, Spanish, Urdu and Tamil.
Language interpreters may further be available depending on service/group type.
Please call ahead to book an appointment in a specific language or to inquire about language accommodations.
Where can I park?
Free parking available on site at all our locations.
How can I help CFSPD do this work?
We are always happy to have members of the community support our agency and the services we provide. If you are able to do so, monetary donations are accepted and appreciated.
