The HEAL Program
Healing Together, Renewing Hope: Supporting Women and Children Affected by Intimate Partner and Family Violence across the Peel Region.
The HEAL programs and services are free of any cost.
Our trauma-informed programs include:
- HEAL Counselling: Women and/or children meet individually or together with a trained clinical counsellor to process experiences of exposure to Intimate Partner and Family Violence, learn coping skills and strengthen the parent-child bond.
- Healing Together: A 7-week psychoeducation group to learn and strength self-esteem, social and coping skills within a supportive community.
- HMCSAT: A 9-week therapeutic group that supports mothers and children process their experiences of being exposed to violence in the home.
- Youth Groups: In-school groups focused on building leadership skills and exploring common challenges with youth.
- Workshops: Educational sessions for youth on a wide range of topics, including healthy relationships, cycles of violence and the impacts of Intimate Partner and Family Violence.
